SERVICE ENGINEER
Responsibilities
- Allocation/Purchase/Update of Tools
- Organization/Update of Technical Library
- Prepare relevant Technical Manuals/Paperwork/Bulletins (i.e., most up to date)
- Liaise regularly with the customer support department
- Complete paperwork for each service, including full reports and complaints forms
- Contact the customers within specified timeframes to ensure that the function of the equipment is up to standards
- Follow through with suggestions of improvement
- Site inspection if required
- Ability and willingness to work outdoors in all weathers
- Willingness to work globally, including weekends, overtime during irregular hours and sometimes on short notice
Qualification
- Technical Education (Bachelor’s, Diploma or other related certificate)
- Certification from Manufacturers will be considered as an advantage
- Computer literate
- Good knowledge of the English language
WELDER
Qualification
- English (verbal); additional language skills are considered an advantage
- Education equivalent technical certifications, and/or a minimum of 3-5 years of experience
- Continuous availability and flexible working hours and the ability to travel around the world
Role Welder
- Under limited supervision service, repair equipment on board ships
- The Welder must have good communication with ship's staff authorities
- The Welder will the followed strictly of maker recommendation,
understanding drawings and manual instruction
- The Welder considered as an advantage is well with required experience on Main and Auxiliary
Engines services and overhauls various types and sizes
- Experience in shipyards (considered as an advantage)
- The specialist needs to know electrical circuits, designs of various welding machines, vending machines,
semi-automatics, power sources
- The properties of metals to be processed; Principles of action, the device of electrical welding machines,
devices for arc welding, gas welding equipment, other equipment, as well as rules of use; Types of welded joints,
seam types, welding build; standards of safety, occupational health and fire protection
Specific Duties:
- Welding of equipment, fittings, beams and blocks in various conditions;
- Smelting of equipment defects, ration of parts; clipping of oblique holes; welding in hard-to-reach places of complex forms;
- Vessel hull steelworks;
- Pipes replacement/repairs (steel and Inox pipes);
- Boilers; IGG; Manifolds; Deck repairs etc.
Required availability of documents:
- Biometric passport (travel passport)
- Seaman’s Book
- Safety Familiarization basic training and instruction for all seafarers.
Certificate of ship security, safety (considered as an advantage)
- Health Certificate
- Welder Certificate (Class Certification: BV, LR etc.)
- The presence of positive reviews from previous places of work, track record (workbook)
- S. Visa (considered as an advantage)
- Other certificates (considered as an advantage)
FITTER ( MECHANICAL )
Qualification Requirements
- Education level of college engineering, or equivalent technical certifications, and/or a minimum of 3-5 years
of experience
- PC proficiency. Sufficient computer skills to work with MS Office (considered as an advantage)
- English (verbal and written); additional language skills are considered an advantage
- Continuous availability and flexible working hours and the ability to travel around the world
Role
- Under limited supervision, test, adjust, and troubleshoot component, service, repair equipment on board ships
- The Fitter must have good communication with engine department staff authorities
- The Fitter will utilise their knowledge of mechanical theory of address a variety of technical problems and make
intelligent use of blueprints and manuals to accurately achieve assignments; in liaise with Line Manager will follow strictly of maker
recommendation, understanding drawings and manual instruction
- Upon completing the assignment, the Fitter assists to compose a detailed service report
- Experience in shipyards (considered as an advantage)
Specific Duties:
- Main Engines (various types and sizes); Auxiliary Engines (various types and sizes);
- Turbochargers (various types and sizes);
- Fuel system, pumps, injectors etc.;
- Deck equipment as windlasses, mooring winches etc.;
- Cargo/Ballast/Stripping pumps etc.
